Edith Barrett is a Professor of Public Policy at the University of Connecticut (UConn), holding concurrent roles as CLAS Associate Dean and Program Director for Urban and Community Studies. Her work focuses on urban policy, youth engagement, and socio-economic development. She explores how marginalized voices, particularly urban youth, influence education and housing policies. Recent research includes qualitative studies on student perspectives in education reform and the impact of digital media on political participation among adolescents.
