About
Edita Fino is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Bologna's Department of Psychology 'Renzo Canestrari'. She holds a PhD in Psychological Sciences from the University of Bologna (2014). Previously, she was a Research Fellow at the Department of Diagnostic, Experimental and Specialty Medicine (DIMES, Bologna University) from 2017 to 2022. Her roles include consultancy for UNHCR (2017–2018), IOM (2019–2021), and UNMIK, focusing on refugee mental health and psychosocial support. She has been a certified fellow at the University of Basel (2009), Stanford University (2010), and the University of Geneva (2013).
Research interests include social, affective, and cognitive processes related to stress, trauma, and health outcomes in populations such as refugees, migrants, healthcare workers, and medical students. She explores inter-group dynamics and their impact on well-being, emphasizing hard-to-reach groups.
