Edgar Abarca Lachén

Edgar Abarca Lachén serves as Professor at San Jorge University's Faculty of Health Sciences, directing the Expert Title in Individualized Drug Formulation and Expert Title in Formulation for Special Patients (Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Palliative Care). He concurrently coordinates the Quality Assurance Program for Individualized Medication (PACMI) and leads the Spanish Society of Individualized Medication (LASEMI) as Scientific Director.

His doctoral research focuses on "Formulation of individualized medications in the healthcare process. Impact on patient pharmacotherapeutic needs satisfaction", driving his work in clinical pharmacy innovation. Key research areas include dermatological applications through the Dermacomp prescription tool (developed with Hospital San Jorge) and psoriasis treatment via the psoCREAM line (with Instituto Epione SL/ARaid).
