Professor Edd James is an Associate Professor in Cancer Immunology and Associate Dean for Infrastructure at the University of Southampton's Faculty of Medicine. His research focuses on antigen processing pathways and T cell responses in anti-tumour immunity. He holds editorial roles at the Journal of Vaccines and Immunology and Immunology News.
Education: BSc Microbiology (University of Bristol, 1997), PhD in Transplantation Tolerance (Imperial College London, 2001). Postdoctoral training at UC Berkeley and Southampton. Became full Professor in 2020.
Research groups include the Institute for Life Sciences, Centre for Cancer Immunology, and Institute of Developmental Sciences. Current projects investigate ERAP1/ERAP2 enzymes in cancer and MHC class I antigen processing.
