Ed Sleebos

Ed Sleebos is an Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Department of Organization Sciences, VU University Amsterdam. He holds additional appointments at the Network Institute and the Organization & Processes of Organizing in Society (OPOS). With a PhD in Social and Organizational Psychology from Leiden University (2005), his work focuses on the psychology of respect, social identity, and leadership, particularly exploring darker aspects like disrespect and dark leadership.

He coordinates the Premaster BCO program and teaches courses on quantitative research methods and academic writing. His grants include projects on social networks, leadership empowerment, and respect repair processes, totaling over €1 million in funding. Key collaborations involve exploring psychopathy in leadership and organizational ethics.

His research has been featured in outlets like Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology and Journal of Business Ethics. Media engagements include discussions on Machiavellianism in workplaces and managing toxic leaders.
