Ed Schlesinger serves as the Benjamin T. Rome Dean of the Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins University and holds a professorship in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He has spearheaded major initiatives such as the Data Science and AI Institute, the Ralph O’Connor Sustainable Energy Institute, and the Johns Hopkins Institute for Assured Autonomy. His leadership focuses on enhancing educational programs, translational research, and interdisciplinary partnerships. Schlesinger earned a BSc in Physics from the University of Toronto and MS/PhD in Applied Physics from Caltech.
