Ebenezer Dassah

Dr. Ebenezer Dassah serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Global and International Health at the School of Public Health, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. Previously, he held research positions at the United Nations University—International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH) in Malaysia and at Queen's University and University of Manitoba in Canada.

His educational background includes:

• Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) from University of Ghana

Dr. Dassah's research centers on health policy decision making and health services systems, with specialized focus on reducing health inequities among marginalized populations globally—including persons with disabilities, older adults, and children. His scholarship emphasizes generating actionable evidence for policy interventions in low-resource settings through interdisciplinary approaches.

His scientific recognition includes:

Dr. Dassah has led significant research initiatives including a Canadian Institutes of Health Research-funded project on water/sanitation/hygiene (WASH) services for children with disabilities in Ghanaian schools, and collaborated with the Queen's University International Centre for the Advancement of Community Based Rehabilitation to organize the Future Leaders in Global Health and Rehabilitation Conference across multiple countries. His work with UNU-IIGH's Pillar One advanced evidence-based policy on sustainable development, while his University of Manitoba research developed health access interventions for persons with Multiple Sclerosis.
