Dyllan Taxman is an Assistant Professor of Law at Baylor Law School, teaching Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and National Security Law. His scholarship examines constitutional limits on prosecution, gun violence policy, and the application of international law in U.S. courts.
Prior to academia, Professor Taxman served as a Navy JAG officer, military prosecutor, and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in Tennessee. His legal background includes experience with command advisory roles and felony case prosecution.
He holds a B.A. in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin, a J.D. magna cum laude from Georgetown Law, and clerked for Judge Ralph R. Erickson on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
