Dr. Dylan Brady is Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore. He holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Oregon (2020). His research investigates how geopolitical constructs manifest through infrastructure, with special focus on Chinese transportation systems and digital payment platforms.
Current work examines Singapore's Smart Nation Initiative, analyzing how digital payment infrastructures like SGQR redefine state territoriality and social inclusion. Fieldwork includes ethnographic studies in Beijing airports and Hong Kong rail systems.
Teaches 'GE3236 Transport and Communications' and employs materialist theory to analyze more-than-human elements of urban systems.
