Dustin Trail

Dustin Trail is an Associate Professor at the University of Rochester's Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, School of Arts & Sciences. He holds a PhD from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His research focuses on experimental geochemistry, early Earth evolution, planetary magmas, and astrobiology, with an emphasis on high-pressure/temperature laboratory experiments to simulate planetary conditions. Key interests include magma redox evolution, Hadean Earth environments, and lunar geochemistry.
