Durrell Nelson is an Associate Professor of Cinematic Arts at Liberty University's School of Communication and the Arts. With over 30 years of Hollywood experience as a stuntman, actor, and executive, he integrates industry expertise into teaching and leadership coaching. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing (Queens University of Charlotte), MA in Theological Studies (Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary), and Masters of Professional Writing (University of Southern California), while pursuing a PhD in Theology and Apologetics.
His research focuses on creative storytelling, Christian worldview integration in media, and vocational development. Notable works include the film Texas Rein (director/producer) and the book Dragonflies. Nelson co-founded Beautiful Feet Productions to create redemptive films and advocates for foster care adoption through Heart of the Game Ministries.
