Dror Avisar

Prof. Dror Avisar serves as Professor and dual Head of both the Hydrochemistry Research Group and The Water Research Center at Tel Aviv University's Porter School of Environment and Earth Sciences, leading critical environmental research initiatives.

His research focuses on physico-chemical processes governing micro/nano persistent organic contaminants in aquatic systems, with emphasis on developing innovative degradation and removal technologies for water purification. Key methodologies include advanced analytical techniques for pollutant tracking and treatment optimization across diverse water sources.

The Hydrochemistry Laboratory under his direction specializes in chemical-physical fate analysis of persistent pollutants in water/soil matrices using LC-UV-MS-MS and GC-MS-HS-P&T instrumentation for comprehensive sample processing and quantitative analysis.
