Douglas Linde

Dr. Douglas Linde is a Professor of Turf Management at Delaware Valley University, where he has led the turf management program since 1996. He teaches courses in Golf Course Design, Irrigation Technology, and Soils, and advises all turf management students. His research focuses on turfgrass, and he supervises DelVal’s on-campus turf-research facility and putting green. Linde also coaches the University Golf Team and advises the Turf Club.

• B.S. in Agronomy & Environmental Science, Delaware Valley University (1991)
• M.S. and Ph.D. in Agronomy, Pennsylvania State University (1996)
• Research Interests: Turfgrass management, golf course design, irrigation systems, and soil science. His work integrates practical industry applications with academic training for students.
• Awards: 2003 Distinguished Faculty Member of the Year, 2005 Golf Coach of the Year (NCAA Division III Freedom Conference).
• Advising & Mentorship: Provides academic and career guidance to all turf management students, blending classroom instruction with hands-on experience through campus facilities.
• Labs/Teams: Oversees the turf-research facility and actively participates in student-led initiatives through the Turf Club.
