Douglas Becker

Douglas J. Becker serves as Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law's Graduate Tax Program, teaching Partnership Taxation and Taxation of S Corporations. He maintains an active tax law practice at Becker PC, specializing in corporate, partnership, and real estate taxation with particular expertise in transaction structuring and tax planning.

With over three decades of experience, he has been recognized with the James E. Bye Lifetime Achievement Award from the Colorado Bar Association Tax Section (2020) and elected as a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel (2018). His professional honors include consistent recognition by Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, and 5280 Magazine's Top Lawyers list.

Prof. Becker's teaching focuses on practical application of tax principles in business transactions, emphasizing partnership agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate joint ventures.
