Dr. Douglas Bauer is an Emeritus Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology & Biostatistics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. He has been a clinician-investigator in the Division of General Internal Medicine since 1992, focusing on osteoporosis, thyroid dysfunction, and clinical epidemiology. Prior to 2023, he maintained a weekly clinical practice and taught students, residents, and junior faculty.
