Doug Miller is Professor in Workers' Rights in Fashion at Northumbria School of Design, with 30 years' expertise in ethical supply chains. His research examines labor conditions in global textile industries through a human rights framework. Current projects focus on economic upgrading strategies for garment workers.
He coordinates the £1.4m DFID-funded Capturing the Gains network investigating social equity in global industries. Previously developed the first international labor agreement between Inditex S.A. and the Global Union Federation.
