Doug Mainwaring

Doug Mainwaring is a Senior Faculty Research Assistant II in the Department of Forest Engineering, Resources & Management at the College of Forestry. His research focuses on growth and yield modeling, silviculture practices, and forest health preservation. He leads initiatives in forest biometrics and geomatics, integrating advanced spatial data analysis into forest management strategies. His work addresses challenges in fire ecology and biodiversity conservation within planted-forest systems. Mainwaring is affiliated with the Center for Intensive Planted-forest Silviculture (CIPS), a hub for applied forest research.
