Doris Howell

Senior Scientist Doris Howell holds the RBC Chair in Oncology Nursing Research and Education at the University of Toronto's Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing. She is also affiliated with the University Health Network and Ontario Cancer Institute's Psychosocial Oncology division. As a Diamond Jubilee International Visiting Fellow at the University of Southampton (2014-2017), she collaborated with Professor Claire Foster's Macmillan Survivorship Research Group to advance cancer survivorship self-management research. Her work focuses on developing theory-based interventions, fostering UK-Canada academic exchanges, and securing grants for post-doctoral exchanges. Key activities included co-supervision plans for PhD students through the University of Toronto's International Visiting Student Exchange Programme and establishing long-term collaborative frameworks.
