Dori L Contreras

Dori L Contreras is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Looy Lab at the University of California, Berkeley, affiliated with the Department of Integrative Biology. Her research bridges organismal biology and ecosystem-level dynamics through fossil plant collections and ancient environment reconstructions.

Her work focuses on

• Evolutionary and ecological history of plant lineages
• Conifer evolution (especially Mesozoic Cupressaceae)
• Flowering plant diversification during the Late Cretaceous
• Ecological community restructuring during major plant group transitions
