Donna Marjorie French

Donna Marjorie French is a Senior Lecturer and Graduate Advisor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington, where she has taught since 2018. She holds dual master's degrees in Computer Science (University of Tulsa, 2022) and Library Science (Texas Woman's University, 2013), and a bachelor's in Computer Science and Mathematics from Northeastern State University (1993).

Her research interests center on foundational and applied computing disciplines, including algorithm design, data structures, and programming language education. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in algorithms, object-oriented programming, and introductory computing.

As Graduate Advisor and Program Coordinator for Undergraduate Curriculum, she oversees academic programming and mentors students through initiatives like the College-Sponsored Research Experience for Undergraduates and ICPC Coding Contest. She also organizes community workshops such as Python tutorials and Digital Divas programming events.
