Dr. Donna Berry is a Teaching Fellow at Keele University's School of Psychology. She holds a BSc, MSc, and PhD in Cognitive Neuropsychology from Lancaster University. Previously, she worked as a Psychology Tutor for the Open University and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Northumbria University.
Her research focuses on emotion processing differences in autism spectrum conditions, visual attention mechanisms, and improving police interactions with neurodiverse individuals. She employs eye-tracking technology to study cognitive processing in populations with communication challenges.
Dr. Berry has secured multiple research grants including funding for eye-tracking equipment (£25,570) and autism training development (£1,600). She received the Fellow of the Higher Education Academy award in 2015 for teaching excellence.
She mentors undergraduate and postgraduate students through research projects and dissertation supervision. Current projects include emotional contagion in autism and nutritional information comprehension studies.
