Donald Palisaitis

Donald Palisaitis is a full-time Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Université de Montréal, within the Department of Medicine. He is an experienced interventional cardiologist with expertise in acute coronary syndromes and myocardial infarction.

His research focuses on antiplatelet therapy (aspirin/clopidogrel resistance), platelet function testing, and interventional cardiology. Key contributions include comparative analyses of platelet function assays (2007), studies on aspirin resistance prevalence (2009), and long-term stent outcome research (2006). He has published 24 peer-reviewed articles and 18 abstracts.

Scientific activities include co-directing national workshops on coronary physiology (since 2000) and interventional cardiology symposia (since 2005) for the Canadian Cardiovascular Society. He supervises graduate students in biomedical research and clinical cardiology training at Université de Montréal.
