Donald Leigh Anderson

Dr. Donald Leigh Anderson was a Full Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC), part of the Faculty of Applied Science. He held roles as Assistant Professor (1966–1976), Associate Professor (1976–1990), and Full Professor (1990–retirement). His expertise spanned seismic engineering, masonry design, and structural mechanics. He advised countless students and contributed significantly to UBC’s academic and administrative leadership through roles like Assistant to the Head.
