Donald Anton

Donald Anton is an Honorary Professor at the Australian National University (ANU) College of Law and Adjunct Professor of International Environmental Law at Griffith University's Law Futures Centre. With over three decades of experience, he has taught at prestigious institutions worldwide, including Melbourne Law School, Yale Law School, and the Geneva Institute.

Research Interests: Anton specializes in International Environmental Law, Public International Law, and Human Rights Law. His work explores the intersection of environmental protection, legal frameworks for international relations, and sustainable development, with significant emphasis on human rights considerations and global governance.

Academic Leadership: He served as Director of the Griffith University Law Futures Centre from 2017 to 2020 and held the inaugural Chair in International Law at Griffith University from 2015 to 2020. His career spans extensive teaching, editorial contributions to foundational texts, and pro bono litigation in international law.
