Dominique Courcot is a Professor at Université Littoral Côte d’Opale (ULCO) and Director of the Environmental Chemistry and Interactions on Life Unit (UCEIV). He obtained his PhD from the University of Lille in 1994, joined ULCO as an Assistant Professor in 1995, and became a full Professor in 2006. His leadership roles include heading the Chemistry and Toxicology of Atmospheric Emissions (CTEA) team since 2010 and directing UCEIV since 2014.
His research examines:
- Atmospheric particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5, ultrafine particles)
- Source apportionment and emission tracer development
- Toxicological impacts on respiratory health
- Multidisciplinary approaches combining chemistry and biology
