Dominika Saniewska

Dominika Saniewska serves as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Oceanography and Geography, University of Gdańsk, where she is affiliated with the Division of Marine Chemistry and Environmental Protection and the Laboratory of Persistent Organic Pollutants.

Her research focuses on critical environmental challenges in marine systems, particularly:

• Marine Chemistry and pollutant interactions
• Environmental Protection frameworks for coastal ecosystems
• Pollution Control methodologies for industrial contaminants
• Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) analysis and mitigation
• Chemical oceanography of Baltic Sea environments
• Environmental impact assessment of anthropogenic compounds

Through the Laboratory of Persistent Organic Pollutants, she conducts advanced research on detection, quantification, and ecological risk assessment of toxic substances in marine matrices, contributing to regulatory science and environmental policy development in the Baltic region.
