Dominik Schiefner

Dominik Schiefner is a Professor of Drama and Songwriting at Alanus University of Arts and Society, serving as Vice Rector since 2024, Dean of the Department of Performing Arts since 2021, and previously as Vice Dean (2018-2021). He is also the co-founder and artistic director of the Akademie für angewandte Schauspielkunst Bonn. His roles include membership in the Senate, Board of Trustees of the Alanus Foundation, and jury for the Handelsblatt Rhetoric Check DAX30/40 since 2021.

• Education: Studied acting at Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theatre (Leipzig, 2000-2004), participated in the prestigious “actors class” masterclass with MK Lewis, and completed vocal training at Heinrich Schütz Conservatory (Dresden).
• Career Highlights: Over 50 theater/film/TV productions including roles at Schaubühne Berlin, Semperoper Dresden, and others. Directed works such as Aschgrau Schillernd (Bonn Theater), Peepshow (KALTSTART PRO 2014), and Der Verrat.
