Dominic Kudlacek

Prof. Dr. Dominic Kudlacek serves as Professor and Head of the Integrated Safety and Security Management program at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences, actively leading research initiatives in security and safety domains with direct industry and policy applications.

His research spans critical interdisciplinary areas including:

• Integrated Safety and Security Management frameworks for complex systems
• Criminological analysis of organized human smuggling networks
• Machine learning applications for security threat identification
• European comparative studies on radicalization prevention
• Technical-organizational solutions for offshore renewable energy infrastructure

Current research projects demonstrate significant grant leadership:

• PEGASUS: Combating human smuggling through mass data analysis and criminal network identification using machine learning, with HSBHV conducting criminological investigations into modus operandi
• PERICLES: EU-funded development of radicalization prevention tools and measures validated through European comparative analysis
• OWISS: Prevention of offshore wind farm disruptions via weak point identification and co-design of technical-organizational countermeasures with industry partners
