Dominic Guanzon is a Research Fellow at the University of Queensland within the Salomon Lab, affiliated with the Centre for Clinical Research and the Centre for Extracellular Vesicle Nanomedicine. Supported by the Lions Medical Research Foundation, his work focuses on extracellular vesicles as Genomics Theme Leader, developing nucleic acid blood tests for disease diagnosis.
- Primary research: Predicting chemotherapy response in ovarian cancer by distinguishing chemoresistance
- Key contributions: EV-associated miRNAs in gestational diabetes, EV engineering for cancer targeting
- Methodologies: SWATH-MS proteomics, SERS biosensors, 3D in vitro models
His recent publications (2025-2021) highlight trends in EV-based diagnostics, miRNA profiling, and proteomic analysis across oncology and maternal-fetal health. He serves as associate advisor for a PhD project on EV-associated lipids in ovarian cancer progression and leads genomic approaches to EV research.
