Dominic Griffiths

Dr. Dominic Griffiths is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Faculty of Health and Education, Manchester Metropolitan University. With over 30 years of experience in education, he specializes in inclusive pedagogy, neurodiversity, and dismantling rigid frameworks around Special Educational Needs (SEN).

His research centers on neurodiversity as a universal paradigm, critiquing traditional SEN categorizations. He employs Wittgensteinian, Foucauldian, and Bakhtinian linguistic theories to analyze how discourses shape educational attitudes and practices.

Key projects include the Department for Education-funded Dyslexia Support Project (2016-2018), which trained educators across England, and evaluations of teacher induction and wellbeing programs in Wales. His publications emphasize fluid approaches to SEN, inclusive policy, and educational equity.

He supervises PhD and Ed Doc research students and maintains memberships in the British Dyslexia Association, NASEN, and the British Wittgenstein Society.
