Domenico Longo is an Assistant Professor at the University of Catania, affiliated with the College of Engineering and the Department of Mechanics and Mechanisation. His research focuses on agricultural machinery design, mechatronics, biosensors, and environmental monitoring systems, with a strong emphasis on robotics and automation. He has extensive experience in developing climbing robots for industrial inspection, non-linear modeling, and control algorithms, and currently works on precision farming technologies, bio-sensors, and pesticide distribution analysis.
