Dmitry Ivanov

Prof. Dmitry Ivanov is a Professor of Supply Chain and Operations Management at Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR Berlin), where he leads the Digital Supply Chain Lab and directs the M.A. Global Supply Chain and Operations Management program. He holds PhD, Dr.rer.pol., Dr. habil. degrees, specializing in industrial engineering, operations research, and control theory. His research focuses on supply chain resilience, Industry 4.0, digital twins, and structural dynamics, with over 460 publications and highly cited contributions. He is a recipient of numerous awards, including the Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher designation (2021-2024).

Education: Industrial engineering and management (diploma studies), PhD in supply chain management, and habilitation in control theory. His career spans 25 years of teaching at global universities and industry consulting in optimization and ERP systems. He co-developed the structural dynamics control method and authored leading textbooks like Global Supply Chain and Operations Management.
