Prof. Dr. Dirk Hübner is a Professor of Design Engineering and Lightweight Construction at htw saar (Saarland University of Applied Sciences) since 2012. His research focuses on renewable energy systems, particularly hydrokinetic energy extraction via river turbines and alternative energy storage technologies, alongside component development for natural gas engine fuel systems and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Education: Studium in General Mechanical Engineering (Fachhochschule Trier, 2000-2004); PhD in Fluid Mechanics (Fachhochschule Trier/Universität Rostock, 2006-2011)
- Teaching: Leads courses in Materials Science, Measurement Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance, Technical Communication, CAD, and Hydraulic Systems for Aviation Business and Industrial Engineering programs
