Dr. Dipesh Vasant is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester, affiliated with the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology & Gastroenterology. He holds external roles as an Associate Editor for BMJ Open Gastroenterology and as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. His research focuses on gastrointestinal disorders, particularly faecal incontinence, irritable bowel syndrome, and the application of hypnotherapy and neurostimulation therapies.
Education: He completed a PhD in 2015 titled "TRANSLATIONAL STUDIES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEUROSTIMULATION BASED INTERVENTIONS FOR REHABILITATION OF DYSPHAGIA AFTER STROKE", supervised by Professor S. Hamdy.
