Dr. Dina Al Raffie Huehn is an Assistant Professor of International Relations at Duquesne University's McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, specializing in terrorism, political violence, and security dynamics in the Middle East and North Africa. Her research examines identity dynamics of radicalization, terrorist leadership, and non-Western counter-terrorism practices, with regional expertise in Egypt. She serves as Director of Career and Internship Services for International Relations.
Dr. Huehn's work investigates Islamic political theory sources of radicalization, countering violent extremism (CVE) frameworks, and comparative counter-terrorism approaches. She maintains affiliations with the George C. Marshall Center's Program on Terrorism and Security Studies and has conducted fieldwork across the MENA region.
