Dimitris A. Tsouknidis is an Associate Professor of Shipping Finance at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), within the Department of Accounting and Finance, School of Business. In addition to his faculty role, he serves as the Director of the MSc in International Shipping, Finance, and Management at AUEB, where he shapes the next generation of maritime finance professionals.
His educational background spans three countries and four degrees: a BSc in Economics from the University of Thessaly (Greece), an MSc in Computational Finance from the University of Essex (UK), an MBA, and a PhD in Finance from AUEB itself.

- Energy & Transportation Economics: modelling the interplay between energy price volatility and freight markets.
