Dimitrios Statharas

Dimitrios Statharas is a Lecturer at the School of Engineering, University of Leicester. He specializes in cross-disciplinary research at the intersection of materials science, failure analysis, mechatronics, and artificial intelligence. His work emphasizes solving real-world engineering challenges through collaborative innovation. He currently serves as Chair of Health and Safety and has contributed to projects in advanced coatings, aerospace applications, and offshore wind turbine protection systems.

His work with the UK Space Agency includes flexible satellite power systems for in-orbit deployable technologies.
