Dimitrios Lekkas

Dimitrios Lekkas is an Assistant Professor in Mathematics at Northeastern University London, serving as course leader for Mathematical Methods I and III. He holds a PhD from University College London (2023), MSc from ETH Zurich (2017), and BSc from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2014). His research focuses on spectral theory of automorphic forms, applying analytical methods to number-theoretic problems, including large sieve inequalities and hyperbolic geometry.

Research interests include analytic number theory, ergodic theory interactions, special functions (hypergeometric/Weyl transforms), and applications of spectral theory. His work addresses counting problems in number theory, such as a Gauss hyperbolic circle problem analogue. He has also contributed to studies of Maass forms and geodesic segments in hyperbolic planes.

Teaching roles include Analysis I-III, Linear Algebra courses at UCL, and problem class leadership in Real Analysis. His publications reflect advanced analytical techniques in number theory and geometry.
