Dimitri Tsintjilonis

Dimitri Tsintjilonis is an Honorary Lecturer in Social Anthropology at the University of Edinburgh. His research spans death rituals, personhood, spirit possession, and cosmological frameworks across Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and Greece.

• Focus on mortuary rites and indigenous ontologies in Tana Toraja, Bali, and Central Sulawesi
• Current project examining Orthodox Christianity and Devil symbolism in Greece
