Dimitri Landa

Dimitri Landa is a Professor of Politics at New York University (NYU) and serves as the Director of the MA Pre-PhD program. He is affiliated with the College of Arts & Science and the Department of Politics, where his research focuses on democratic theory, political economy, legal institutions, and social identity dynamics.

Landa's research spans interdisciplinary topics at the intersection of political theory, economics, and law. His work explores accountability in representative institutions, the political economy of federalism, deliberative processes, and the role of social identity in discrimination. His scholarship appears in leading journals such as American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Public Economics, and others.

As a Faculty Affiliate at the NYU Center for Experimental Social Science, he contributes to collaborative research initiatives. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in political theory, game theory, and formal modeling of political institutions.
