Dimitri Kalaitzidis is a Teaching Fellow in Dance at Smith College. He is a multifaceted performer, teacher, and dance creator with a global presence in the contemporary dance community.
- Graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts (BFA in Contemporary Dance)
- Collaborated with renowned choreographers including Bill T. Jones, Merce Cunningham, and Emanuel Gat
- Co-founded the project Los Little Guys in 2017 with Mexican artist Erik Elizondo
His research and practice focus on improvisation as a central methodology in dance creation, performance, and pedagogy, with a strong emphasis on cross-cultural collaborations across North America, Europe, and Asia. He has performed and taught at institutions like Gibney Dance, VERVE of Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and Ochanomizu University.
