Dimeji R. Togunde, Ph.D. is Vice Provost for Global Education and Professor at Spelman College, where he has provided transformative leadership since 2011. His work focuses on institutional internationalization, strategic planning, and enhancing global learning experiences through study abroad programs, faculty development, and curriculum innovation.
- Education: Ph.D. in Development Sociology (Cornell University), M.S. & B.S. in Demography/Social Statistics (Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria)
Research Interests center on internationalization frameworks, diversity and inclusion in global education, strategic planning for global engagement, and cultural competence development. His scholarship emphasizes equity-focused models for HBCUs and the role of virtual learning in post-pandemic global education.
Recent publications (2015–2024) demonstrate expertise in international education, cross-cultural collaboration, and STEM globalization.
