Diler Tamer

Diler Tamer is a distinguished Professor in the Private Law Department at Yeditepe University Faculty of Law, specializing in Roman Law and its influence on modern legal systems. With a career spanning over three decades, she has supervised numerous PhD and Master’s theses in Roman legal principles.

• Education: Doctorate (1993), Master’s (1987), and Bachelor’s (1980) in Roman Law from Istanbul University.

Research Interests include:

• Roman Law’s impact on Turkish legal frameworks

• Insurance and arbitration mechanisms in antiquity
