Dietmar Sachser

Prof. Dr. Dietmar Sachser is a faculty member at Faculty 3 of the Folkwang University of the Arts, specializing in Physical Theatre, Artistic Education, and Devising Theatre. His research combines theoretical and practical approaches to explore performative methodologies and historical/theoretical foundations of physical theatre.

• Trained at École Philippe Gaulier (London), Desmond Jones School of Mime, and Théâtre de Complicité
• PhD from Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) on 'Theaterspielflow – Über die Freude als Basis schöpferischen Theaterschaffens'
• Active in international teaching and research collaborations (Brazil, Russia, South Africa)
• Member of the advisory board of Fonds Darstellende Künste e.V.
