About
Diego Blas Temiño (born 1979) is an ICREA Research Professor at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IFAE), Autonomous University of Barcelona. Previously, he served as a Full Professor at King's College London and held a Beatriz Galindo Senior Fellowship. He earned a PhD in Advanced Physics from the University of Barcelona (2008) and conducted postdoctoral research at EPFL (Switzerland), NYU (USA), and CERN, where he became a staff scientist (2014–2018). His work includes pioneering research on quantum gravity and cosmological computational tools.
Research focuses on gravitational waves, particularly detecting unexplored frequencies via lunar/satellite orbital data. Notable contributions include a 2022 demonstration of gravitational wave effects on orbital mechanics. He currently leads the project 'Detection of gravitational waves in lunar orbit and in artificial satellite orbits,' supported by the Leonardo 2024 Fellowship.
- Awards: Leonardo 2024 Fellowship, Beatriz Galindo Fellowship
- Key Projects: Quantum gravity theory, cosmological code development
