Didier Demorcy

Didier Demorcy is a Professor and coordinator of the Master Workshop on Situated Practices at the École de Recherche Graphique (ERG). His work spans art, media, and activism, focusing on intersections of political ecology, non-human worlds, and collective practices. He employs video, radio, installations, and documentary approaches to explore situated knowledge and ecological awareness.

Key projects include exhibitions such as Animism (2010-2012) and The Radio of the Living (2022), as well as co-translating David Abram’s How the Earth Fell Silent. He actively participates in activist-researcher collectives addressing alternative currencies, artist status, and community radio networks. Recent initiatives involve forest management, climate-resilient agriculture, and cereal conservation.

Demorcy’s work bridges art and activism, emphasizing participatory practices and ecological sensibilities. His radio column By the Fireside (2023) explores human-environment relationships through sound and narrative.
