Diana Dedmon

Diana Dedmon, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, AFN-C is an Associate Professor, Director of Clinical Affairs, and holder of the Michael Carter Endowed Professorship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Nursing. She is based in Memphis, TN, and specializes in addressing health disparities through rural healthcare initiatives.

Her research focuses on developing nurse-led clinics to meet wellness needs in underserved regions of West Tennessee, Northwest Mississippi, and Northeast Arkansas. She leads a $3.9 million, four-year grant project involving a mobile health unit to deliver care and integrate rural health education into academic programs.

Dr. Dedmon has practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 1999 in primary care clinics across rural West Tennessee and Memphis, TN. She emphasizes hypertension education, diabetes control, and ensuring quality, evidence-based care delivery.
