Di Luo is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at The University of Alabama, currently on sabbatical. She holds a PhD from The Ohio State University (2015). Her research focuses on modern Chinese history, particularly everyday life in twentieth-century China, information management, literacy studies, and war and society.
Her publications examine historical literacy education and social transformation in rural China, with recent work exploring gender dynamics during wartime. Dr. Luo's research employs multidimensional analysis of archival materials to reveal how education shaped identity during periods of conflict.
