Dharma Dailey is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the Division of Computing & Software Systems within the University of Washington's School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics. Her research focuses on human-centered design and data science, particularly examining collaboration practices that foster high-quality scientific outcomes and pro-social impacts. Dr. Dailey has mentored over 20 data science teams and actively engages with educators to promote 'Data for Good' teaching strategies.
She earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Human Centered Design & Engineering from the University of Washington, and a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from SUNY Empire State College. Her current research involves collaborations with professional software engineers at UW's Scientific Software Engineer Center and organizing workshops for data science educators.
