Dhara Shah

Dhara Shah is Associate Professor in Human Resource Management at Deakin Business School, Deakin University. Her research focuses on gender equity, international human resource management, and entrepreneurship, with particular emphasis on empowering disadvantaged groups through capacity-building initiatives.

Key research domains include:

• Expatriate experiences and family adjustment in international assignments
• Gender barriers in career progression and entrepreneurship
• Cross-cultural management in global business environments
• Work-life integration challenges for professional women
• Social entrepreneurship and inclusive economic development

She has led numerous DFAT-funded projects promoting gender-inclusive entrepreneurship and climate-resilient development in Mongolia, Laos, and the Mekong region.
